Cheap is Not Better

One of the things we often hear is that another mechanic shop can do it cheaper. We understand and never make the claim to be the cheapest. On the contrary, we let our customers and potential customers know that our prices are competitive but by no means cheap.

This fact may be a turn off to some people. The reality is that cheap is not better. In fact, cheap is not good for you or for your car. There are places that offer $15 oil changes but what they fail to tell you is that the oil is used oil that has been put through a “cleaning” process. That does not happen here at Haven Auto Repair.

To illustrate our point, we created this video showing the pros and cons of cheap.

When caring for ourselves, the choices we make will impact our health outcomes directly. While we may have to spend a little more, the investment is worth the reward. healthy food choices equal better results, fast and cheap food choices…well not so much. Ultimately, our stomachs pay the price or reap the rewards.

When caring for our cars, the options are similar. You can opt for fast and cheap, or you can invest a little more and make your car and its engine reap the rewards.

If you are looking for a quick lube that’ll cost about the same as a fast food burger, Haven Auto Repair may not be your first choice. But if you’re looking for the best, we’re here to help.

Remember that cheap is not better.
